DESCRIPTION:In the spring of 2020\, during the largest food crisis in a century\, a group of college students observed the simultaneous waste and need for food.  Footage of miles long lines of cars hoping to receive food only to come away empty handed inspired them.  So despite feeling powerless these students came up with an idea to solve both problems and became the catalysts for a national movement to reduce food insecurity in the United States. \nJoin us for the screening of the movie which tracks the creation of their ambitious project.  Following with movie participate in a conversation with Max Goldman and Aidan Reilly\,  founders of ABUNDANCE. \n6:00pm Zero Waste Reception\, Student Project Displays \n6:30pm Film Screening \n7:15pm Conversation with Farmlink Co-founders Aidan Reilly and Max Goldman

She is a 2024 Padma Shri Award winner\, as well as the recipient of the Légion d’Honeur 2023\, France’s highest civilian award. Kiran Nadar is profoundly changing the educational and cultural face of modern India. Mrs. Nadar\, together with her husband Shiv Nadar\, founder of HCL Technologies\, is creating transformational change for thousands of gifted students from rural India. In the art world\, she is a pivotal force who has increased the visibility of Indian modern and contemporary art worldwide. She is also one of India’s top competitive bridge players. \nThe program will take place at Rye Country Day School’s Performing Arts Center Auditorium at 6 p.m. Following the program\, guests are invited to a reception in the Performing Arts Center Foyer. \nIndia Cultural Center is a nonprofit organization in Greenwich\, CT\, serving Fairfield and Westchester Counties with a mission to foster inclusion by educating and engaging the community in Indian culture.
