We ask for your assistance and cooperation to help uphold and maintain the great tradition of competition and sportsmanship that is a hallmark of this storied rivalry.    The following is a list of expectations and information that we hope you will find helpful in preparation for game day.  As always\, we thank you for your continued support\, and we look forward to a great game.  Rye Harrison Football Game:  Saturday\, October 8\, 2022  Kickoff Time:  1:30 p.m.   The game will be live-streamed free of charge for the wider Rye and Harrison communities on the LocalLive network and can be viewed by clicking on https://events.locallive.tv/school/rye-hs  Please share this information with anyone who may want to watch the game.    Gates will open and tickets will go on sale at 12:00 PM at Rye’s Nugent Stadium. Tickets for Rye spectators will be at the Post Road gates; Harrison spectators will purchase tickets on the bridge adjacent to RMS.    There will be limited parking at the high school.    Ticket Price: $5.00 for adults and children ages 5 and older; children under the age of 5 will be admitted free of charge. Senior Citizens will be free of charge.    Children must be supervised at all times. We are expecting a large crowd\, and everyone’s cooperation is needed to ensure safety.   No coolers\, bottles\, insulated cups\, water bottles\, or outside drinks are permitted. Refreshments will be available for purchase on-site.   The Rye High School campus is alcohol\, drug\, and smoke-free. The Rye Police Department will be on-site to help enforce these rules. Anyone who is in violation may be subject to removal from the property.    Reminders for this game (and all athletic events):     No banners/signs/fatheads (photo – player likenesses)    No face paint   No coolers   No open containers or beverages of any sort; no insulated cups   No backpacks (all bags are subject to search)   No horns\, noisemakers\, etc.    No dogs or other pets   The JV football game will be played at Harrison High School on Tuesday\, October 11\, at 5:00 p.m. On behalf of the varsity football team and the entire Garnet family\, I encourage you to watch the game and to join us in proudly representing Rye in all the activities surrounding this long-standing and friendly athletic rivalry. SUMMARY:Mindful Movement Through Pilates
DESCRIPTION:This workshop series provides an introduction to the foundations of healthy movement and alignment with Pilates instructor and movement educator Rosalind Moore. No Pilates experience is necessary as we will consider movement from the ground up and offer an appropriate challenge for every body\, whether you are managing an injury or looking to improve your athletic performance. \nEach 90-minute workshop will begin with a discussion of basic anatomy\, common injuries and dysfunction\, as well as strategies to navigate daily life and exercise with greater efficiency and less pain. The discussion will be followed by an hour-long movement class grounded in the Pilates method in which we develop our ability to assess and improve our own biomechanics and alignment while challenging strength\, stamina\, and range of motion.\nEach session can be taken individually or as a series; the material covered will be specific to each topic with common themes throughout. \nPart I: Fundamentals of Spinal and Pelvic Stability Chronic pain and instability in the hips\, pelvis and low back can create significant disruptions to our daily life. In this workshop we will dive deeper into the causes as well as the resolutions for pain in these areas. The building blocks of spinal and pelvic anatomy and physiology will be explained and considered. The class will empower you to connect to and activate the deep core as well as the muscles supporting the pelvis and legs. \nPart II: Integrated Shoulder Strength Issues in the shoulder and neck region are common and can arise from poor mechanics in our daily activities\, as well as from overuse in exercise and sports. In this workshop we will explore basic anatomy of the shoulder joints and the connections between breathing\, core control and healthy shoulder mechanics. Class will challenge you to balance spinal mobility with shoulder stability while improving your ability to move with greater strength\, awareness\, and precision through the arms.
