SUMMARY:Living in the Light: A Pilot Spiritual Book Club
DESCRIPTION:You’re warmly invited to a pilot Spiritual Book Club led by Debbie Konner\, certified holistic life coach and licensed NLP hypnotherapist. \nThis intimate gathering will center around a spiritually inspired text\, read aloud during our time together – allowing the teachings to unfold naturally through shared reflection and conversation. Rather than studying or analyzing\, we’ll listen\, pause\, and explore what resonates\, opening a doorway to deeper awareness of what already lives within you. \nWhether you’re new to spirituality or already well along your own inner journey\, this experience will meet you exactly where you are. Debbie has spent years guiding groups through spiritually rooted texts\, witnessing firsthand how powerful transformation can occur when people are given language\, tools\, and space to shift their inner world. \nNo reading in advance is required. Following this initial in-person gathering\, participants will have the option to continue the journey through weekly Zoom sessions\, creating continuity and connection as the experience unfolds. \nCome as you are. Bring curiosity\, openness\, and a willingness to listen\, both outwardly and within.

SUMMARY:Cowboys and Skinners: The Perilous Life in the Neutral Ground
DESCRIPTION:Hear Jan Kelsey\, Rye resident\, President of the Board of Trustees of the Westchester Historical Society\, and former archivist for the Rye Historical Society\, discuss the Cowboys and Skinners\, two notorious gangs that ravaged Rye and Westchester County during the Revolutionary War. Our communities endured seven years of fear and lawlessness from 1776 to 1783 as they faced foraging troops\, gangs of marauders\, military skirmishes\, economic hardship and political upheaval on a daily basis. Families had divided loyalties and many fled to either New York or Connecticut to escape the violence of the so-called “Neutral Ground.”
