Home Government City Council Goes Electronic with Friday Packets

City Council Goes Electronic with Friday Packets

Filippi Says No Paper Friday Packets

We don't know if the Rye City Council read MyRye.com's January 14th article Kindles for Council? but these Rye public servants are entering the email age. At the February 10th meeting Councilman Richard Filippi reported "We've asked the city manager to set up an email notification so we now get our packet of information electronically."

Historically the city has printed the "Friday packets" and the Rye PD has driven the paper packets to the home of each council member every Friday evening. Now Rye taxpayers can save a bit on paper and free up our men and women in blue to spend their time on more valuable pursuits.
