Coyote Attack in Rye

There has been a report of a coyote biting a child on or near the Osborn School grounds on Friday, June 25th (school is out for the year).

PRESS CONFERENCE RE: COYOTE ATTACK IN CITY OF RYE

A press conference will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, June 26, 2010, at City of Rye Police Headquarters, 21 McCullough Place, Rye, New York 10580, regarding a coyote attack that occurred in the City of Rye on June 25, 2010.

  1. A pack of hungry nocturnal carnivores don’t need a case of rabies to be bold – they just need that most primal of all incentives – hunger.

    But perhaps a rabies test should in fact be given – to our police commissioner.

    After all, this was the kind of attack that was never likely to happen, right?
