Rye City schools open Wednesday.
Be careful out there! Here is the warning issued by Rye PD:
Rye City Schools open on September 7, 2011. In preparation for the opening of school, the Police Department will be conducting enhanced traffic enforcement in and around the school zones. We will also be conducting enhanced DWI enforcement in preparation for the high traffic volume on the Labor Day holiday weekend.
Please protect yourself, your neighbors, and our children: stay off cell phones while driving; obey posted speed limits and other regulations; wear your seat belt; and never drive while under the influence of alcohol.
