Flag Burning: Unserviceable Flag Disposal Ceremony this Saturday

Rye Post #128 of the American Legion will conduct an Unserviceable Flag Disposal Ceremony this Saturday, January 19 at 10:30 AM in Disbrow Park.  Spectators and those who wish to bring old American flags for disposal are invited to attend.  People will assemble near the DPW office.

Worn or damaged US flags should never be disposed of in the garbage.  Properly, they should be burned with due ceremony.  Those wishing to dispose of old flags can deposit them at any time in the collection box in the City Hall lobby from whence they will be seen to by Rye Post.
