Milton School students participated in the Saint Jude Math-a-Thon during the month of April, raising approximately $4,500.
Milton has collected over $30,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital since teacher Marianne DiSalvo first introduced the program at the school. This year, many students took part in raising donations, and four children impressively contributed more than $300 each.
The Math-a-Thon presents a variety of math problems for children to complete from a book provided by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. They receive pledges from family members and friends in order to raise funds that benefit St. Jude, where doctors and scientists work to eradicate childhood cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases.
