RyePD Composite Sketch of Lewdness Suspect

(PHOTO: Creep-o here "was described as a male white believed to be in his mid to late 20s. He had short dark hair that might have a red tint to it and an unshaven face, an apparent five o'clock shadow. He was wearing a short sleeve t-shirt that appeared to be light blue and he was wearing jeans. The distinguishing feature,   as stated by both victims, was that this man had crooked teeth and needed braces.")

Here is the full news release from Rye PD:

The Rye Police Department is actively investigating a lewdness incident targeting two teenaged girls. The girls, both 13 years of age, reported that at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2016 a white car, believed to be a Honda sedan, pulled up to them at the intersection of Cowles Avenue and Intervale Place.

As the two 13 year old girls turned the corner from Intervale Place onto Cowles Avenue the driver, while stopped at the sign, asked for directions to US1 (Boston Post Road). The girls did not notice anything at first but, after a moment, observed the driver (suspect) masturbating. They both immediately ran north on Cowles Avenue away from the vehicle. The suspect’s vehicle then turned left onto Intervale Place and fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as a male white believed to be in his mid to late 20s. He had short dark hair that might have a red tint to it and an unshaven face, an apparent five o'clock shadow. He was wearing a short sleeve t-shirt that appeared to be light blue and he was wearing jeans. The distinguishing feature,   as stated by both victims, was that this man had crooked teeth and needed braces.

The victims further described the vehicle as dirty with darkened windows, a white spoiler on the rear trunk area and black pin striping on the side. One victim added that there was a dark outlining to both the front and rear tail lights.  They stated that the car appeared to be "tricked out."

Finally, both victims noted that the suspect spoke clear English and had no accent.

Police Commissioner Michael C. Corcoran, Jr. commended the victims for their quick thinking and keen observations in providing police with a very detailed description of the suspect and his vehicle. “These young ladies did exactly what a young person should do, observe, run away and immediately contact police. In today’s day and age, there is no reason that an adult should be asking a child for directions, wanting to show or offer them a puppy, give them candy, offer them money, offer them a ride or anything else on a public street. These are always red flags, cause for concern and warrant immediate notification to police said Corcoran.”

Anyone with information is asked to immediately contact Rye Police at 914-967-1234 and request to speak with the Detective Division. Tips can also be provided anonymously to the Rye Police Tip Line at 914-760-4243 or online at http://www.ryeny.gov/police.cfm.
