This is the City of Rye Police with a Winter Storm Warning. The National Weather Service forecasts snow beginning Wednesday morning continuing through Thursday morning. Heavy snow is expected with possible accumulations of 6 to 15 inches. Potential for coastal flooding in low lying areas and strong wind gusts. Have flashlights, charge batteries, cellphones and only run generators outdoors. Move vehicles from flood prone areas. Try to remove vehicles from public roadways for snow clearing.
