Rye Rotary Dinner Celebrates Garr and Yedowitz – Tickets Available

Rye Rotary Dinner

The Rye Rotary Foundation will honor Dino Garr's 300th game win and the life of Jim Yedowitz at its annual dinner on Thursday, May 9, 2019. Rye school boss Eric Byrne will be the Master of Ceremony at the event, being held at Whitby Castle from 6p – 9p in the evening.

Tickets, available for $100 per person, include dinner and limited bar.

Rye resident and coach Dino Garr, Rye High Class of 66, began his career as a social studies teacher in Rye. This past fall, Garr won his 300th game of Rye football coach–only the second coach to reach this achievement in section one history. Garr ranks the 6th all time in New York State for game wins.

Jim Yedowitz came to Rye schools in 1975. Yedowitz taught PE and health in the Rye middle and high school, and was the long time head boys track and field coach. Yedowitz lost his battle to cancer this past January 2nd.

Proceeds from the rotary dinner benefit the groups scholarship and cmmunity grant programs.
