Over the last few weeks we have asked various Rye citizens – elected officials, city staff, community leaders and local authors – to read a story for the youngest citizens of Rye. Each day, we will share a new story.
Today, Rye Rec’s Sally Rogol reads Jane Godwin’s Red House, Tree House, Little Bitty Brown Mouse. Rogol’s career in Rye has spanned more than 35 years. She currently serves as Superintendent of Recreation for the City and has since July 2008. She leads a team of dedicated staff to deliver program, services and special events for the community for all ages.
People think of her as a native Rye resident because of her length of service to the city, but she was born and raised in Connecticut. Currently living in Old Greenwich, Sally has four cats and enjoys her own recreation activities which includes walking and playing golf.
