It was just Tuesday when the Rye DPW closed off Purchase Street and created a pedestrian mall to welcome mask-wearing, 6-feet apart residents back to the various restaurants and businesses as the region enters Phase 3 of the reopening.
The restaurants that have tables out on Purchase Street are Rafele, Ruby’s, Bareburger, Ruby’s, Frankie & Johnnie’s, Rye Grill and Bar, Village Social, Poppy’s, Town Dock, Aurora. In addition, stores are offering evening hours and have merchandise on the street.
And outdoor dining applies to areas beyond Purchase Street: Al Dente, Longford’s, Sunrise Pizza, La Fenice, Rye Roadhouse, Barley’s Beach House, On The Way Cafe, and Valtori are all offering outdoor dining.
