The Rye City School District is welcoming sixteen newbies this year. Most of these faces are new to the district, and a few are old hands in new positions.
Rye Middle School welcomes Yun Shim Kim, Music Teacher, Chorus/Music Technology, RMS
Ms. Kim will be a familiar face to many RMS students given that she has taught music at Osborn School since 2008. From 2003-2008, she worked as a music teacher at Midland, Milton, and Osborn Schools. Prior to working in Rye, she was the Chamber Ensemble Instructor at New Eden Academy and Music Teacher at Bridgeport Hope School, both in Bridgeport, C.T. She has a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Bridgeport and a Master of Arts in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She completed her student teaching at Milton School.
