Rye Girls Varsity Tennis flooded Harrison on Friday, taking the win 5-2 while in Huskie territory and securing the league title.

“Both Rye top doubles teams of Charlotte Ausfahl and Juliette Stone at first and Sasha Sherman and Alexandra Ausfahl at second came back from substantial deficits in their 10 point supertiebreakers to win their matches,” said Rye Girls Varsity Tennis Coach Anthony Campbell. “These were excellent tune-ups for their participation in the Sectional doubles tournament this weekend which will determine which players go to States.”

The team swept the singles matches with Dylin Pizzutello winning convincingly at #1, and Cassidy Pagen and Juliette Hamlen winning the clinching matches in their first Varsity singles matches. Dylin has only one hard fought loss this season in singles. She’ll be playing in the Sectional singles tournament this weekend.
