Rye Boys Varsity Hockey chiseled North Rockland Wednesday, taking the win 3-0. The Garnets continue to build momentum in the season with a 6-0-1 record.
“We controlled the game throughout and scored timely goals to ensure the win,” said Rye Boys Varsity Hockey Coach Peter Thomas.
Dean Kim netted the game winner on his first varsity goal on an assist from Jackson Leahy. Brendan O’Byrne had a goal assisted by Reece Dorfman and Brian Curran and Reece Dorfman closed out the scoring with a power play goal assisted by Brendan O’Byrne. Anabelle Thomas made 15 saves for the shutout win. Rye is now 2-0 in league play.
Hockey plays again Monday, December 27th at 10:30am at Clarence.
