Janet Schuman Kaplan, 99, passed on Dec. 5, 2021 at The Osborn in Rye, NY. Born in Brooklyn, Janet excelled in school, and attended Columbia University to earn a business degree.
In 1943, she married Dr. Lawrence I Kaplan, deceased Dec. 11, 2001. They resided in Scarsdale, NY and Longboat Key, FL, and happily traveled the world together for 58 years. Janet painted and sculpted and volunteered at Legal Aid.
Survived by her loving children Rick (Abby) and Laurie (Mike). Beloved grandsons Wesley (Deb) and Nicholas, and Wesley’s children, Mason and Emma. Janet had a long and wonderful life.
