MyRye.com is featuring varsity team MVPs from the winter 2021-22 sports season. The MVPs have been selected by each coach. A big MyRye.com congratulations to all the MVPs.

“Chelsea Sanchez is a 4 year varsity cheerleader and one of our senior captains,” said Rye Girls Varsity Cheerleading Coach Melissa Marsden. “Chelsea participated in both our fall and winter competitive team this year.”

“She is by far the strongest backspot that we have ever had in the cheerleading program and was a key component of our competitive team this year. She is known for her amazing strength and ability to save her flyers even if it means diving on the floor to catch them. No matter what stunt group she is put in, the stunt will hit almost every single time. Chelsea has literally and figuratively given her blood, sweat, and tears to the cheerleading team for all 4 years. Chelsea has such a kind heart and will be extremely missed next year. She is heading to the University of Alabama next year.”
