Paving Over Problems; Dredge-ful & More: Rye City Council Agenda for May 11, 2022

The city council’s agenda for its meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 is out. The meeting is on Zoom (not in person). The Council will convene earlier at 5:30pm for closed executive session to discuss pending litigation, personnel matters and pending contracts.

The meeting will also be aired on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 39. We’ll also see you on the Internet (live and archive).

Formal office hours of the Mayor and other officials have been suspended.

Residents may email comments regarding the public hearing to: publichearingcomments@ryeny.gov. All comments must be received by 4:15 pm on the day of the meeting. The subject of the email should reference the hearing topic. Please include your name and address.

  • I See a Rainbow. Consideration of a request from Rye pRYEde to use the Village Green on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 6:30 pm for its flag raising, followed by a march to Rye Recreation for a second flag raising.
  • Update: LOCK YOUR CARS! Update by Public Safety Commissioner, Mike Kopy.
  • Paving Over Problems. Presentation of 2022 street resurfacing plan.
  • Open Mic. Residents may be heard on matters for Council consideration that do not appear on the agenda.
  • Dredge-ful. Authorization to advance plans for dredging sampling at a cost not to exceed $230,000 from the Boat Basin Unrestricted Net Assets.
  • Navigating Costs. Authorization to transfer $26,485 from the General fund Contingency account to the Marine Unit Cost Center to for the installation of private channel markers.

  • Picnic! Consideration of a request by Christ’s Church for use of the City streets (Rectory Street) on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for their annual picnic.

The next regular meeting of the City Council will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 6:30 p.m.
