Rye Girls Varsity Tennis sent New Rochelle back down I-95 without toll money on Wednesday. The Garnets cleaned the courts at home with a 7-0 win.

“Freshmen Lana Andikyan and junior Juliette Hamlen both gutted out tough singles matches to help complete the sweep,” said Rye Girls Varsity Tennis Coach Tony Campbell. “Our doubles teams won convincingly through confident net play.”

Two new doubles pairings of Hannah Cali and Cate Hartman, and Maren Wydra and Ryan Wade had convincing wins together. Ella Poole and Paloma Pepper had their second straight doubles win. The first doubles pair of Cassidy Pagen and Charlotte Lorraine continued to anchor the lineup winning again to move to 4-1 on the season.

The season improved to 3-2. The Garnets travel to Eastchester Friday at 4:30pm.
