DESCRIPTION:.Starting Kindergarten is such an exciting event for our little ones! This year\, we have a very special project to help all of our incoming Kindergartners feel special and loved as they start at their new schools. Drop by the library to do our outdoor Storywalk of “The Kissing Hand” around the green. This is a lovely story about transitions\, beginnings\, and provides comfort and reassurance to any who may be feeling nervous or uncomfortable in new situations. After you read the story\, you can grab one of our Take and Make projects from our curbside pickup service.This take and make project will come with one plush raccoon (just like the character in the book!)\, stuffing\, a special heart to place inside\, and a birth certificate for your new stuffed friend. You can do this project with your children and have your new stuffed friend forever!Please submit your curbside request for a take and make raccoon project by selection “Take and Make Craft” from the drop down menu and write “KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM TAKE AND MAKE” in the “How Can We Help You?” box. Supplies are limited and will be issued on a first come\, first served basis. These will be available starting Saturday\, September 5th through Saturday\, September 12th\, OR until supplies are gone. Now in it’s 14th season in Westchester\, LawnChair Theatre’s usual offering is a light Shakespeare comedy\, but this year they’re shaking it up by mixing Beatles music with Shakespeare sonnets and segments. All outside\, all socially responsible.
