Rye Police Department released a brief statement on Wednesday in preparation for July 4th, 5th, and 6th fireworks at Playland:
“This is the City of Rye Police Department. As a reminder, with the upcoming holiday, beach area parking will be strictly enforced. Playland will be having fireworks on July 4th, 5th, and 6th. Expect traffic delays and detours in the surrounding areas, especially between the hours of 9pm through 10pm. Please plan your routes and timing accordingly. Emergency vehicles will have access throughout the City at all times. Have a safe holiday.”
