Rye Resident Owner of Collapsed Crane

A Rye resident is the owner of a collapsed crane and has been cited by OSHA: "Concavage Marine Construction Co. for willful and serious workplace safety violations following a May 22 crane collapse at the Avalon Bay Marina in Stamford" according to an OSHA news release.

"STAMFORD — In the wake of a $165,000 federal fine last week against Port Chester, N.Y.-based Concavage Marine Contractors last week for a crane collapse in Stamford Harbor last May, State Police are pressing criminal charges against the owner and crane operator.

Company owner Nicholas Concavage, 55, of 95 Hillside Road, Rye, N.Y., faces two misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment and a single charge of operating an unregistered crane."
