Due to the wind storms this week, many Rye residents have been without power for 2+ days. Rye schools were closed Wednesday and Thursday of this week, using two of the three allocated snow days and we are only in January.
We also hear many residents have had bad basement flooding since their sump pumps had no power.
The Bradford Park area was spared an outage until Friday when Con Edison was cutting tree limbs by a power line and managed to put their chain saw thru the power line. Nice work (right)… The neighborhood was out of power for @ seven (7) hours. Power was back on @7pm.
