Crosswalk Crossing, Limbo Dancing Characters Seen with Santa in Stamford

Elmo_at_stamford_thanksgiving_parade_2Popeye, Ms. Piggy, Elmo and many more characters and superheros were flying high above Stamford, Connecticut this afternoon in the city’s annual Thanksgiving parade.

Usually the weekend prior to turkey day and living in the shadow of the Macy’s mega-show in New York City, the parade in Stamford is a family friendly affair where kids can easily scramble to the front of the parade line without having to show up hours before.

Running about two hours, the parade closed with Santa riding down the street in a confetti blowing antique fire truck. The sleigh must have been in the shop.
