Newsweek Rates Rye High #87 in Nation
Newsweek’s annual ranking of the top 1,300 high schools in the country came out a couple weeks ago and Rye scored as one of only four Westchester schools in the top 100.
After hitting the US News chart at #52 in November and being called one of the "better buys for your tax dollar" by the Journal News in January, Newsweek says Rye boasts the 87th best high school in the country.
Newsweek rated Rye 86 in 2007, 42 in 2006, a lowly 703 in 2005 and 45 in 2003. No ratings were available for 2004. The only other Westchester schools joining Rye in the top 100 are Yonkers (82), Dobbs Ferry (85) and Edgemont (92)
