Car Wash – Rye High 10am – 2pm Today – $ Goes to Our Soldiers
Grab ten bucks off your bureau, get in your car and drive to the Rye High School parking lot between 10am and 2pm today (Saturday, May 9th) and get your car washed.
Fifty volunteers from My Soldier, a Rye High club that raises money for the Bob Woodruff Family Fund for Traumatic Brain Injury, will be at the ready with hoses, sponges and chamois running a car wash fundraiser. The Woodruff fund was started by Bob and Lee Woodruff, Rye residents. Bob was injured badly while reporting in Iraq for ABC News.
Colleen Murray, the president of My Soldier President, told MyRye.com the group hopes to surpass their fund raising goal of $500 from their car wash last October. The money given to the Woodruff group will help veterans to get the medical care they need, as well as offer them educational and occupational opportunities. The My Soldier club started in 2004 and has 88 members.
Go get in your car.
