It is an honor to serve as Board President, representing the community's values and commitment to providing excellent public education for our students. During my six years on the Board, through good governance, our community has realized significant achievements: Implementing robust curriculum improvements: introducing elementary school foreign language; allocating resources to re-tool elementary math instruction and strengthen core K-12 curriculum; connecting guidance counselors with more colleges; Supporting programs enabling students to distinguish themselves as scholars, musicians, artists and athletes, and in college admissions; Earning recognition as one of the very best high schools in the nation; Completing major capital projects in each of our schools; Achieving one of the lowest school tax increases in Westchester each year I have been on the Board. As Board President, I have worked to engage the wisdom and skills of my colleagues, to enhance communication with the public, and to set strategic priorities through consensus. With the increasing economic pressure we all face, I remain committed to working collaboratively to ensure we continue to offer our children one of the best educational programs in the nation, efficiently and in accordance with the values and means of our community.
