Froyo Fans Rejoice in Rye
MyRye.com's restaurant columnist Diana Tapper tells us froyo just hit downtown Rye.
Tart and sweet frozen yogurt (that's "froyo") is coming to Rye.
Frozen yogurt addicts can come out of withdrawal – Rye finally has its own place to pick up a frozen yogurt treat. YogoJoy is scheduled to open sometime this weekend, offering eight flavors of frozen yogurt, including the plain tart variety that Bloomingdale's and then Pinkberry made famous.
Customers will be able to serve themselves using one of YogoJoy's four self-serve yogurt machines, each offering two flavor choices, such as green tea, pomegranate, green apple and toasted coconut. You can take as little or as much as you want – pricing is determined by weight. You can make it more interesting by adding one or more of their dry and fruit toppings – think cereal, nuts, candy, kiwi and mango. Smoothies will also be offered.
They are planning to be open from 10am to 10pm seven days a week.
YogoJoy, 8 Purdy Avenue – across from Sunrise Pizza (967-0049).
If they would offer prune frozen yogurt, Mr. Floatie would be the first one on line.
