Rye City – Garbage, Recycling and Tax Collection Cancelled Due to Storm
MyRye.com just heard from Eleanor Militana of the Rye City Manager's Office. Due to the severity of today's snow storm, garbage, recycling and tax (!) collection have been canceled for today (Friday, February 26, 2010).
Normal collection of garbage, recycling and taxes will resume on Monday. City taxes can be paid on Monday, March 1, 2010 in City Hall, or postmarked Monday March 1, 2010, without penalty.
Don't put your tax payment on the curb. The raccoons will take it.
