At Friday's Rotary meeting at the Coveleigh Club on Milton Point, Rye Firefighter Andy Northshield presented a check for $1,000 on behalf of Rye City firefighters to the Rye Rotary. The money will be donated to Shelter Box USAto fund the delivery of a Shelter Box. Each ShelterBox (pictured below) is a large, rugged, green plastic container that holds a 10-person tent and a range of other equipment. A single ShelterBox cost about $1,000.
