Alison, Elvis: Open Door Rocks Thursday
Elvis Costello will be rocking Purchase College this Thursday, April 15, 2010 to benefit Open Door Family Medical Centers, including its location at 5 Grace Church Street in Port Chester. Orchestra seats are still available (buy a few). Rye residents and Open Door board members Mary Scully of George Langeloh and Kathy Perkal of Milton Road (in the photo, above) are co-chairing the event.
Open Door does a benefit concert every year. In 2008 the group hosted the B-52s and grossed over $500,000. They hope to surpass that amount this year.
Open Door is a federally qualified community health center serving as the health care home to more than 40,000 individuals in Westchester County. Open Door’s facilities are located in designated underserved communities, serving those who are hardest to reach. Patients make over 170,000 visits annually to its sites in Ossining, Port Chester, Mt. Kisco, Sleepy Hollow and its four school- based health centers in Port Chester.
MyRye.com asked Mary Scully and Kathy Perkal why our readers should pony up and go hear Costello scream "Alison" and they gave us their top ten…Letterman-style:
