  1. Today’s Annual BOE/City Council Meeting before the Rye Little League Parade went off without a hitch.

With the main focus on Pedestrian Safety everyone seems to be doing their part as we all reach for that ultimate goal…A SAFER RYE!!!

We have a long way to go and I have no doubt we will get there with everyones cooperation.

After the meeting I went home to get my daughter and walk up to the parade, we stood in front of Christ Church at the top of Palisade Rd.

It soon became obvious that not everyone is willing to cooperate. What we witnessed was DESPICABLE!!!

As the last part of the parade past the RPD opened up the streets to allow the long lines of cars to flow.

As we all know there is “no left turn” onto Milton from Palisade.
So, the 1st yo-yo decides to make an illegal left in between 2 cop cars. Then, as children, parents, seniors stood in the crosswalk to cross over to Palisade another yo-yo makes an illegal left turn. Then there is the 3rd yo-yo coming from the rotary that decided these same people standing in the crosswalk didn’t deserve to cross!

EVERYONE MUST DO THEIR PART, ESPECIALLY THE YO-YO’s!!!!
