Saunders: American Legion IRS Papers in Order

MyRye.com heard from Tom Saunders, local American Legion leader in regards in our story Monday on Sixteeen Rye Non-Profits at Risk of Losing Tax Exempt Status.

According to Saunders, the IRS was listing the Harrison post (#559), not the local Rye American Legion post which is current on its IRS filing obligations. And its Westchester wide group has now filed all appropriate papers.

Here is Tom's note:

"On behalf of the American Legion, Rye Post #128 is fully up-to-date with all of its IRS filings.  Carle Anderson Post 559 serves Harrison.  According to County treasurer Howard Heyel the American Legion of Westchester County has since filed the appropriate forms.
