Pamela on Purchase: Starting Fresh…

Isn’t it great to get a clean slate? A get out of jail free card, a second chance, a fresh canvas and a new place to start fresh from? My favorite part of my workday when I open my shop on Elm Place is when I wash the chalk sandwich boards clean and know it’s a fresh start for a new sign, announcement, news or colorful chalk creation. 

Having a clean slate can be what we need to start from a place of empowerment and confidence. It gives us a deep breath to know we can put our best foot forward, taking what we’ve learned from last disappointments or mistakes and put into action new patterns and behaviors. All it takes is letting go of whatever happened before and take steps forward with a clean slate and vision in mind. So often we think that someone else has to give us that second chance and we can remember we hold the crayon to designing our lives. 

Every moment of each day is a chance for a fresh start, to let go of the past and to live into whatever we want, even something as simple as a better attitude or new perspective.

Here is a quote to keep in mind as you go forward step by step, moment to moment and day by day:

And there will always be a clean slate, so draw on! So be sure you color yourself a great experience!
