Rye City formed its Sustainability Committee only last October and it has been fast at work, presenting to city council and figuring out how to make Rye a greener city.

Thursday will include numerous presentations including ones by Rye Mayor Douglas French and other local notables:

7:45 pm Welcome Suzanna Keith (city council), Sara Goddard, Mayor French

7:55 pm What is a Sustainability Plan? Noam Bramson, Mayor of New Rochelle, will provide
a background on sustainability and sustainability plans.

8:15 pm A Sustainability Plan for Rye Rye Sustainability committee (Mimi Bateman, Paul
Berte, Suzanne Clary, Gretchen Kaye-Crowley, Sara Goddard, Melissa Brown-Grieco, Marci Raab, Annalise Stack, Birgit Townley)

8:30 pm Sustainable Hudson Valley Melissa Everett on sustainability initiatives throughout the Hudson valley, success stories and the Hudson Valley Resource Center for Sustainable Communities.

8:50 pm Sustainability on the Local Level – Jay Heritage Suzanne Clary, president of Jay Heritage (and MyRye.com history correspondent), about sustainability efforts at Jay Heritage.

Wine and light refreshments will be served.
