Amicos Mark 5 Years Without Jarrid with Vigil Thursday

Maggie and Jim Amico will hold a vigil outside their home this Thursday to remember their son Jarrid. Jarrid was lost in a tragic accident on Midland Avenue five years ago. Since their loss the Amicos have been outspoken on the issue of pedestrian safety.

The vigil is open to the community. In a note, Jim Amico said:

"April 18th will mark 5 years since the tragic death of our son, your friend Jarrid. We could not have made it this far without all of you and we can't imagine getting through the next five years without each and every one of you!!!

We welcome everyone near & far, friends, family, City Officials, City Staff, Community Leaders/Advocates, RPD, RFD, Children, Jarrid's Classmates, local Media, etc. Please join us as we celebrate our angel who touched all of us in his own special way.

The vigil will be on Thursday April 14th @ our house, 350 Midland Ave. @ 7pm SHARP!

The Rye Rec has given us permission to use the North Parking lot to help ease the congestion on Midland. If you do park on Midland, please park South (corner of Goldwin St.) of our house in respect to Bellucio's Restaurant.

After the vigil we will be serving coffee & dessert for those of you who wish to stay!

The Amico's thank you all for your love & support!!!"
