PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF RYE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids for the Annual Street Resurfacing Program will be received by the City of Rye until June 7, 2011, 11:00 a.m., at the office of the City Clerk, at which place and after which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud by the City Clerk.

Resurfacing 5% of Total Bid Pric
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 1051 Boston Post Road, Rye, New York, and may be obtained at said office beginning May 17, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. There is no charge for the bid documents
Bid security equal to 5% of the total of each bid is required in the form of a certified check, bid bond, or equivalent bank draft payable to the order of the City of Rye.
Bids must be in a sealed envelope addressed to Dawn F. Nodarse, City Clerk, City of Rye, City Hall, Rye, New York 10580 and have the words “Bid #2011-01 Annual Street Resurfacing” marked on the outside of the envelope. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 days after the date bids are publicly opened. No bid shall be received or considered after the time stated herein above.
The City’s acceptance of the lowest responsible bid is not binding until the written contract is signed by all parties. The oral award of the bid to the lowest responsible bidder is not an enforceable agreement.
