Elias-Linero Holds Single Vote Lead Over Parker – Rye’s Cliffhanger
Well, apparently your vote does actually count.
Although the Westchester Board of Elections is only reporting 64% of the vote that shows Catherine Parker 39 votes ahead of Rafael Elias-Linero, both campaigns are reporting internal tallies show Elias-Linero with a single vote lead over Catherine Parker.
Elias-Linero told MyRye.com: "This tally [Westchester BOE] shows only 64% of received ballots having been counted. Our internal tally (which apparently coincides with the other ticket's) given by the numbers retrieved by our runners on all polling stations (or 100% of the ballots) put me one (1) vote ahead of Councilwoman Parker. The absentee ballots are yet to be counted to arrive at the final figure."
We contacted Parker to see if she agreed with the oppositions current assessment.
Her one word response: "Yep"
Anyone know if there were any guys named Chad hanging around the voting booths on Tuesday?
