Rye Record Error Reports Killian As Council Pick

The Rye Record, a local newspaper, got ahead of itself yesterday (May 24, 2012) in a story, reporting "Mayor French appointed Julie Killian to the position at the May 23 Council meeting. Killian will have to run in the November election."

MyRye.com, and a number of our readers, heard no such thing on Wednesday night. We contacted Mayor Doug French, who told MyRye.com: "Julie Killian and Charmian Neary came forward last night. There were no appointments last night. June 13th the Council will make the appointment."
