VEGGIES: Farmer’s Market Opens for Season Sunday

Down to Earth Farmers Markets begins its 10th year of Rye’s Down to Earth Farmers Market this Sunday, May 26th, 2013

Throughout the season, all are invited under the Market Manager’s tent for a creative take on the highlighted taste of the month. Also, every week at Rye’s Down to Earth Farmers Market, they give out free recipes for the market’s seasonal offerings. The vendors’ tables change as the weeks go by — and so do the recipes.

(Farmers Market Nutrition Program available from June 1 – November 30) Where: Parking lot on Theodore Fremd Ave. behind the Purchase Street stores

2013 Full-season vendors: Dr. Pickle, Feather Ridge Farm, Meredith’s Bread, Migliorelli Farm, New York Beef Company, Newgate Farms, Our Daily Bread, Pika’s Farm Table, Tierra Farm, and Valley Shepherd Creamery

Day vendors: Bombay Emerald Chutney Company, Kontoulis Family Olive Oil, and more to come
