This Sunday meet Rye's Down to Earth Farmers Market new vendor, Alba Farm.

Now arriving every week from Stanfordville, NY, they bring fresh, pasture-raised lamb. They're a wonderful addition to the open air market that always offers seasonal produce, poultry, meats, prepared foods to go, artisanal breads and baked goods, pickles, locally-roasted nuts and coffees, and more.

The farmers unpack loads of tomatoes, corn, peppers, peaches, plums, herbs, and greens of all kinds. All of the vendors are community-scale, local food businesses. Stop by the market manager's tent to peruse the free recipes that get updated as the harvest changes.

This Sunday, August 11th, the acoustic duo, Deuces Child, will serenade the market from 10 am to noon. These fan favorites will play both beloved cover songs and original creative tunes.

The farmers market takes place every Sunday, from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, in the parking lot behind the Purchase Street stores.
