Saturday “Cup of Joe” with the “Rye Troika” – Parker, Otis & Latimer

The "Rye Troika" – the three public officials who live in and represent the Rye community at the county and state level – will hold their next "Cup of Joe" coffee klatch with citizens this Saturday.

County Legislator-elect Catherine Parker, State Assemblyman Steve Otis and State Senator George Latimer will jointly hold 'Coffee and Conversation with Catherine, Steve & George' in Rye this Saturday, December 14th from 9:30 to 11 AM at Ruby's Oyster Bar and Bistro. Ruby's is located at 45 Purchase Street in Rye.

Long time "coffee klatcher" Senator George Latimer will issue a "Cup of Joe Report" after the caffine fueled constituent event.

'This is a great opportunity for residents to come and meet with their elected officials and give feedback about any issue on their mind,' said Catherine Parker, the incoming County Legislator.  'The information I get from those who attend these events will be very helpful and I look forward to participating in them in the future.'

'In addition to attending community events and meetings in our district offices, these informal settings are a great way for residents to share their issues, problems and ideas,' said Assemblyman Otis.  'The information we gather is invaluable to us in representing the needs of Westchester residents.'

'Public events like these, are the best tool that we, as public officials, have to gather information about what specific concerns people have,' stated Senator George Latimer.  'When we hear from the people in forums like this, we can then advocate intelligently and effectively, knowing that we are carrying out the people's agenda that we heard first hand.  I've been conducting these events regularly, in different sections of my district and on other specific state related issues, in concert with my legislative colleagues for over a decade — most recently with outgoing County Legislator Judy Myers — and I look forward to continuing these efforts..'

Interested residents are reminded that no appointment is necessary.  Staff members will also be in attendance to take individual concerns or questions and facilitate any necessary follow up after the event.  All offices will have informational literature available related to various state issues.
