Indicted: Former Rye Golf Manager Faces 15 Years in Clink for Stealing $342K

There is no poll snack bar or golf club restaurant where this guy is going…

Former Rye Golf Club head Scott Yandrasevich has been indicted and faces 15 years in the clink for stealing $342K from the club. That's a year in the slammer for each $22K he crammed into his own pocket.

LoHud.com had the writeup:

"Prosecutors have upped the ante on the former general manager of the city-owned Rye Golf Club, who was arraigned Friday on an 11-count felony indictment accusing him of stealing approximately $342,120 from the club over a four and a half year period.

Scott Yandrasevich, 50, of Danbury, Conn., now faces one count of grand larceny in the second degree, and 10 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree, according to the Westchester County District Attorney's office. If convicted, Yandrasevich faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.

Rye Mayor Joseph Sack hailed the indictment on Friday, saying the city "looks forward to justice being served."

Yandrasevich, who worked at the club for 11 years, resigned in January 2013, a month before Rye's City Council released a 17-page report detailing a dizzying paper trail of shell companies, ghost employees and bogus invoices at the club."

  1. Mayor Sack might see “justice being served” while he’s playing with his grandchildren at this rate. The Westchester County DA’s office has slow walked this thing about as much as they could. I suspect a plea bargain and blame-deflection-protection arrangement might be constructed here in The Corridor of Corruption for those who illegally authorized the whole scheme to begin with. Our municipal internal financial controls could not have been shredded without active involvement of other senior city officials. But few want to speak about them, do they?
