BOMB THREAT at Rye Middle & High School

A few weeks ago it was a gun scare. This morning, the Rye Middle and High Schools have been evacuated due to a bomb scare. The students have been moved to the Midland and Osborn schools.

There is the note the school sent. More information as we have it:

All students are safe. This morning, the Rye High School received a bomb threat. Due to an abundance of caution, all Middle and High School students have been evacuated to area Elementary Schools while the Police search and clear the building. Please do not attempt to pick up your child at this time. We will contact you later if we need you to do so. It is our hope that the children will be able to re-enter the building shortly.
The students and faculty have responded admirably, and have followed all the procedures in place for such events. I am on site, as is the Police Commissioner.
