Latimer Comments on Home Forclosure

Rye resident and State Senator George Latimer's home is in forclosure, as reported by LoHud.

In response to a query about alleged non-payment of his mortgage, Latimer told MyRye.com "There is a disagreement between the mortgage company and me over payments that were made in 2014. While I will work through legal counsel to resolve the matter in court, I have copies of numerous payments made since January which prove the Inaccuracy of what the company has apparently asserted in their court papers. As of midday Friday, December 19, I had not even received service of the court papers they filed. I am not the only customer who has complaints with this particular company for their practices," said Latimer.

He continued "I treat this as a personal matter which in no way affects my public responsibilities which I continue to discharge every day. Since the matter is under litigation I plan no other public comment."
