School Bomb Arrest by Rye PD: 17 Year Old Student
The Rye PD has announced an arrest in the March 9th Rye School bomb threat incident:

THE CITY OF RYE POLICE DEPARTMENT EFFECTED AN ARREST IN THE CASE OF A BOMB THREAT THAT WAS MADE AGAINST THE RYE HIGH SCHOOL/RYE MIDDLE SCHOOL ON MARCH 9, 2015. THE DEFENDANT IN THE ARREST IS BRYAN FRANCO, A 17 YEAR OLD RYE RESIDENT AND STUDENT AT RYE HIGH SCHOOL. THE DEFENDANT WAS CHARGED WITH FALSELY REPORTING AN INCIDENT IN THE FIRST DEGREE, A CLASS “D” FELONY. HE WAS RELEASED TO HIS PARENTS ON $2,500. BAIL. THIS IS STILL AN ACTIVE AND ONGOING INVESTIGATION WITH ADDITIONAL ARRESTS EXPECTED. NO FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE RELEASED AT THIS TIME.
