County Boss Astorino Loves Rye Playand
OK. Other communities in Westchester are going to start to think Rob Astorino doesn't love them. Or that he wants Joe Sack's job.
I mean – do you know anyone that spends more time at Rye Playland happily promoting and extolling the virtues the park – than County Executive Rob Astorino?
Maybe Standard Amusements, the company that Astorino and Westchester has contracted with to "re-invent" the park, should hire the guy as spokesperson. Earlier this week, he was talking up the Grand Carousel on its 100th birthday. A few days before that it was a special day for special needs.
The love is palpable people…
And now, even though he has characterized Playland in the past as mired in financial ruin, the county boss still believes according to a release “Nothing says ‘summer’ like a ride on the Dragon Coaster with great friends,” Astorino said. “With discounted admission prices and special activities planned for International Friendship Day, you’re guaranteed a fantastic time.”
We have no idea what makes the day international, but the county boss is inviting you to bring "friends and loved ones" to celebrate the often maligned park again this Sunday for "international friendship day".
Witness the PR and enjoy. If you see the boss, tell him hello from MyRye.com:
