This fall season, there are 63 rowers (girls and boys) in the rowing program, representing Rye High School. The fundraiser (AKA Ergathon) helps offset the cost of regattas, travel expenses and scholarships. Without the Ergathon, rowers families would be having to fund 100% of the costs.

An erg is a rowing machine that enables dry-land practices while timing the rower. There will be a new location this year at Rye Recreation on Saturday September 26th 2015, 9:00am to 3:00pm.

This Spring Crew season there were several Varsity, Junior Varsity and novice rowers who made it to to Nationals. One High School rower, Jim Palmer, rowed Crew for team USA at the Junior World Rowing Championship in Rio de Janeiro, in August 2015, garnering a Silver medal in the 8+ boat (8 man boat + coxswain).
