Basketball Fundraiser Saturday for Angelman Syndrome Foundation and Rye Boy

A March Madness basketball shooting contest Saturday at Resurrection, will benefit the Angelman Syndrome Foundation, including seven year-old Rye resident Henry Ramsey. The fundraiser is ​being organized by RMS 8th grader Liam Hickey. Nice job Liam!

Angelman syndrome (AS) is a rare neuro-genetic disorder that occurs in one in 15,000 live births. AS is often misdiagnosed as cerebral palsy or autism due to lack of awareness. Characteristics of the disorder include developmental delay, lack of speech, seizures, and walking and balance disorders. Individuals with Angelman syndrome will require life-long care.

Time: 3rd and 4th Grade Boys and Girls – 1 pm to 2 pm
5th and 6th Grade Boys and Girls – 2 pm to 3 pm
7th and 8th Grade Boys and Girls – 3 pm to 4 pm
Place:​Resurrection Doty Gym, 946 Boston Post Road, Rye, NY
Cost​: $10 per person

Prizes for boy and girl winners of each age group
Raffle Prizes! 1 ticket for $5 and 5 tickets for $20
